100 Albums I Love That Didn't Make The Rolling Stone Top 500

Taking a cue from Rolling Stone Magazine's Top 500 Albums list which was updated for 2020 in late September, I've decided to try and post my own albums list. No, not my all-time favorites.  Most of those are on their 500 list.  Instead, these are 100 albums I love that didn't make the Rolling Stone 500.  

I've included some Greatest Hits albums since there were no rules set that said not to include them. Some 50's/60's era albums were merely repackaged singles Best of's. This also happened a lot in the pre-70's Country music era, when albums would be packaged around a couple of hits padded out with filler.  Also, R&B acts who first came to prominence before the mid-60's fit that scenario.  Although seeing Madonna's Immaculate Collection, which came out in 1990, and Bob Marley's Legend (1984), on the RS list,  definitely makes it tempting to add more Greatest Hits albums.

My picks don't include Jazz, although I could have come up with many. Jazz deserves its own RS 500 Albums list.
