Love You Dad

Every Father's Day, Birthday and Christmas I would buy my Dad a book or two. This was something I started to do a few years after he retired. He never knew what I was going to buy, but I usually stuck to the 2 things he loved: sports and modern military.
And I was always surprised when he said how much he liked what I picked. This process began months before, usually staking out Borders and then going online to find good deals.
Little things. These are the things you'll miss when a loved one dies. And a year and a half since my Dad died, buying him books is one of many things I miss.
I have good memories of my Dad. Not a day goes by I don't think of him. And always with a smile on my face.
